Welcome to The Tart Tart, my not-so-tart take on food, writing, and photography. I decided to start up this sucker after repeated nagging from Chris, my fiance, who cannot understand why the sight of a farmer’s market would send me into ecstatic convulsions (okay, total overstatement. I can be quite the histrionic at times). With that said, my interests, though chiefly in food, also span fashion, design, literature, and photography. So don’t mind the seemingly non sequitur odds and ends I toss in posts at times.

Hi folks, I’m excited to announce that I’m over on Design Sponge today, serving up some pasta puttanesca!

While some may contend that this pasta is a wintertime dish, I disagree. For various reasons. Namely:

1. It’s incredibly easy to make.
2. It requires approximately, oh, 10 minutes of stove time.
3. Its flavor is NOT creamy, NOT rich, and there is no way you can glut yourself on too much sauce. Instead, it’s tart and spicy and tomato-based, with a splash of fresh basil on the side.

And there you have it. The anti-pasta. Check out the feature on Design Sponge. And thanks so much for the opportunity Kristina!
